How do I put a link in a post and not have the whole link show up?
-
Entire link showing up on post, not just title to hover over. It does connect but looks a bit hokey. I have used both the link button in text and the link symbol in visual. We talked about my link problem recently, and I did get it to connect. For example what happens now on the posted page for Idiot Writing shows on the post as: http://idiotwriting.wordpress.com. If I put in the title: Idiot Writing, it shows up, too but it is not a hover.
I would appreciate any help! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have not posted the page except as previewing the draft. I have saved the draft to continue to try to figure this out.

Be aware that using click here is the worst possible choice of anchor text. The best possible choice of anchor text is the relevant keyword or keyword phrase.
First make sure you are running one of the browser versions found here > http://browsehappy.com or upgrade to one of them.
Then consult the guide for creating links in posts and pages: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
This is the general link model:
Highlighted anchor text hereThis is the visual result – it’s not actually linked here in the forum.
Highlighted anchor text here1. Enter the relevant descriptive anchor text you want to link to first. Note that “here” is not a good choice.
2. Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text. (If you don’t highlight the anchor text the chain icon will remain grayed out and not be useable.)
3. Next click the chain icon in the editor and proceed to create the link. -
