how do I put footnotes in my blog

  I’ve tried using this [^1] markdown thingy that someone said worked… but when I click preview to see how it looks, it is clearly not working. Thanks

  Hi!

  If you’re trying to create page jumps (clicking a “1”in the article jumps you down to the reference section), you can do that following the steps here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/

  To create the superscript numbers though, you can use the following in the Text Editor:

  <sup>1</sup>
