How do I put pictures in my blog?
-
I want to put pictures in my blog without using flickr. How do I do this?
-
-
That is the only way to upload photos on wordpress.com. “It doesn’t ever work.” Could you ellaborate on that?

well, when it uploads them, it either only puts in the title or the image is huge. how do i make it look normal sized?
-
there’s only 2 options – the original size or the thumbnail size. thumbnail is smaller and not exactly normal-sized. if you want a specific size, you have to edit it via microsoft paint or a similar program, shrink or enlarge it as you wish, before uploading and displaying it as the original size.

Most images view best between 400 and 500 pixels wide as larger images are too big to show in the blog.

@tylerlenore
The maximum sizes for images you can use without breaking your blog’s layout are listed by theme in the FAQs here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/ -
If you use the Visual editor, you can just click on the picture once it’s inserted and then click on the image icon (the tree) and set the size to whatever you want. If you select “link to file” in the Upload manager when you post it, that means readers can just click on it to view it full-size.
