Instead of an obviously ignored “Check out our Frequently Asked Questions” at the top, links to the FAQs should be displayed in 48-point type across half the opening page.

Or how about simply: Welcome to the forums. NO ADSENSE on wordpress.com. hth

Yep, I read the same today in FAQ. I’d like to leave my feedback (as written in FAQ) to implement adsense to our blogs.

This is not the place to give staff feedback. As you can see from the thread, no staff have posted in this thread. We are volunteers.

To contact staff, use the Support button on your dashboard during office hours. None of us can do anything about this issue but repeat ourselves.

I have read the WorsPress Features in Advertising section that signed :

To support the service we may occasionally show Google text ads on your blog, however we do this very rarely. In the future you’ll be able to purchase an upgrade to either turn the ads off or show your own ads and make money from your blog.

I have no Google Ads on my Blog yet, but I should contact The WordPress Team soon to let me be one of the very rarely and allow Ads running on my blog.

    Let’s go Green World!

@risma2006 – I think you misunderstood what this means:

To support the service we may occasionally show Google text ads

So can you have ad’s on your bolg with WordPress or not? I have a few massive blog idea’s, which the plans forecast will create so so so much traffic = why not stick a few ad’s on their and make some beer money. If WordPress won’t allow me to do this – then I will go elsewhere…

    Anyone?

This is the situation: wordpress show their own ads on your blog so they can fund the service, which means that if you were to put your ads on there there’d be two sets of ads and Google would probably ban your account. You think they’re going to give up their ads so you can make beer money out of it while they get nothing? Doesn’t seem likely to me. If you go elsewhere you will have total control and be able to do what you want. It’s a lot more proactive than hanging around here bitching about things which are never going to change.

Agree with antivalentine. Planning to shift to Blogger or something else. Ridiculous as to why we cannot post our own ads. As for lettershometoyou; thank you for being so smart. Maybe you should apply to Mensa.
I did check the FAQ’s and the entire works after which I posted this. Looks like some people need 48 point text written on top of their page saying: Stop passing opinion on other people without any data!

If you did all that, how did you miss the dozens and dozens of threads about Adsense? They all give the same information.

The only mistake antivalentine made is that it’s not even possible to run blogger-initiated Adsense on WordPress blogs, precisely because WordPress is already running the Adsense. You can only have one Adsense install per blog, and each of our blogs already has one. The only way out of this currently is to sign up for a VIP blog.

I just want the adsense (possibly a bug) removed from my blog! I have dozens of ads on a single post. Poor me!

Ok, I kinda get that you have to upgrade to be able to show ads, but how much? Like, the $20 upgrade or the big, VIP, $4,200 per year upgrade?
Also, I saw all of the other posts on adsense, but this question still came to mind, so I chose to ask on this thread. Sorry if I’m slow on the topic, but I’m pretty confused.

My vote would be for ‘Welcome to the forums. This is NOT WORDPRESS.ORG. GO AWAY’
