How do I re-invite an deleted mail-adress that is blocked?

  Hi,
  I deleted an e-mail adress from the users. She was an admin and I wanted to make someone else admin. But now the e-mail is deleted and if I try to re-invite this e-mail adress to let this person still be a follower by our blog i get the message: invite not send, user blocked all the mail adresses. How do I fix this so the mail-adress still can be invite as a follower?

  Hi there,

  What is the email address you are trying to invite? (You can paste the email address in your reply and the forums software will hide it from everyone except staff.) I can then look it up to see what’s going on. :)

  Thanks for letting me know. I just checked and I was able to send a follower invitation to that user, so the error may have been caused by a typo or other temporary issue that is now fixed. You can see the pending invitation under Users > Invite New in the site’s dashboard.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help!

  Thanks! There is one more thing that you can do.
  I actually wanted to re-invite this user as an contributor. When I tried this i got the error. Can you check for me if you are able to do invite this person as an contributor?

  Hi there,

  I deleted the pending invitation for this person to become a follower, and sent a new invitation to be a contributor. You can now see that pending invitation in the site’s dashboard.

  Hi,

  Got another question. I wanted to invite this person to a different wordpress site of ours (we’ve got a couple blogs that belong to itipblog), but again I’ve got this error message. Can you sent a new invitation to (email visible only to moderators and staff) as administrator by the blog https://itipdroomblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/?

  Hi there,

  If this is still a problem for you, I’d like to get it working for you rather than having me do it for you each time. Can you please try deleting the pending invitation for that email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) first before you send the new invitation?

  Hi,

  There is no invitation pending for this email adress (email visible only to moderators and staff) by the blog https://itipdroomblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/. The only invitation that is pending is an contributor invitation by the https://itipblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/. Do I have to delete that one?

  Hi there,

  Sorry, I misunderstood which blog you meant. Can you please ask the owner of that email address to try the following steps, to make sure nothing is blocking that invitation?

  1. At https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ enter the email address and click on “Request details.”
  2. You will receive an email titled “[Subscribe] Your Subscription Details” containing a link looking like this: https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com.
  3. Copy that link in your browser address and add &unsub_invites&option=cancel at the end.
  4. You should get a line that looks like https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?key=a111b222&email=wp%wp.com&unsub_invites&option=cancel — click enter to load it.
  5. A confirmation message will appear: “You will now receive invite emails again at (email visible only to moderators and staff). To stop receiving them, click here.”
