How do I re-order the display of pages at the top of my blog?
-
I am using the Mystique theme for my blog, which is currently private until it’s ready to go live.
Everything is working just fine, however, I am creating pages and I need them to show up in a certain order in the bar at the top of the main blog page. I can’t find anything on how to re-organize these pages in the order I want them displayed in the top bar of my blog.
I have looked this up in Google and on WordPress Help, but almost all of the answers are dating back to 2006.
Am I missing something to simply reorganize the display of these pages?? It seems like it should be a really straightforward task.
thanks.

What I have found out is that they are displayed in the way that you published them. For example, if you have a home page, an about page, and, say a computer page, if you published the about page first then the computer page, it would display home, about, computer and vice versa.
Hope this helps! -

@bestsellerteen: No, the default top menu of a theme displays page tabs in alphabetical order (home link excepted).
@britishginger: You can change the order in two different ways: set an order number in the Page Attributes module of the page editor, or create and load a custom top menu (as auxclass suggested). Custom menu is easier.
And please link to your blog when asking questions here, or better make your username link to your blog (Users > Personal Settings: scroll down to Account Details, paste blog URL in the Website field, click Save Changes).
