How do I rearrange the order of my blog postings?

How do I rearrange the order of my blog postings? I want to have my first blog posting (by chronological order) appear first when you click on my blog home page and then proceed chronologically from there – the posts make so much more sense when read in order from first to last…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. The home page, or main feed, shows posts in reverse-chronological order. There’s no way to change that.
If you set up a custom menu you can add a custom link to your menu that will show your posts in chronological order. See here for creating a custom menu and adding links to the menu: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/This is the link you must use: http://drfun1969.wordpress.com/?order=asc
See here for more details: https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/You can edit the Home link in the custom menu screen to be this link, but it will only work if people actually click on Home. Your regular landing page will keep showing the most recent post first.
I’d suggest you add that link under its own menu item, like “Posts in Order” or something similar, and/or create a sticky post that will always appear at the top of your home page containing the link to the alternative feed that’s in chronological order.

I only have one blog which requires the posts to be in a specific order … “chapters” as it were. I found that by altering the publication date, I can manipulate the posting positions as I wish. For twenty “chapters” I need less than a month’s worth of dates. Easy.
For each post, switch to “Edit” … then locate publishing date on the right hand side and edit the date. This works in the Classic Editor … I don’t know if it works in the new one. And I don’t want to test it in case, I can’t get back to the Classic. Don’t forget to click “save”.

That should work in the new editor as well, as it also allows you to set the publication date as far as I know.Your method works well if you have a fixed number of posts, but not so much if you’re constantly adding new posts – if you publish a new post with a date in the past it won’t appear in the Reader for your followers, so unless they all follow by email they won’t know that you’ve published a new post. Editing the feed order as I explained above lets new posts appear in the Reader and other RSS feed readers at the moment of publication. The only drawback is you can’t use that link for your landing page.

Another option is to set a static page as your landing page and then, instead of setting a posts page, use the custom link for your posts instead. That way your posts won’t appear in reverse-chronological anywhere on the blog.See here how to set a static page as your landing page, but ignore the part about the posts page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
