HOW DO I REASSIGN MY DOMAIN TO A NEW BLOG?

  I GOOFED UP, I THINK. I DELETED MY BLOG WITH THE INTENTION OF REDESIGNING IT BUT USING THE SAME REGISTERED URL FOR THE NEW BLOG. I PAID THE $13 TO BEGIN WITH A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. DO I NOW HAVE TO PAY THE $13 AGAIN OR CAN I SWITCH OVER THAT SERVICE TO THE NEW BLOG SOMEHOW. PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT.

  Hi there, yes, I can move the $13 domain mapping upgrade to a new blog. You can start a new blog here: https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/

  And then let me know in this thread and I’ll move the upgrade to the new blog for you.

  Hi Ian, I moved your domain mapping upgrade as requested. If you wish, you can enable autorenewal under Store > My Upgrades. Good luck with your blog!

  Thank you so much, Jenia. I am so sorry to keep bugging you about this, but last night I decided that I wasn’t going to actually use that blog name for the domain mapping after all. That one is going to be mine personally. Whereas the URL that I need mapped is going to have serveral authors. So I realized I needed another blog name. Can I switch it to the new blog name on my own? Or will I have to bug you again after I create the new blog?

  Okay so I created a new blog under my same account. The new blog is rrtacoma.wordpress.com How do I move the prayerfulresponse.com URL mapping over to that new blog address?

  Nevermind. I think I just figured it out. I went to “Domain management” and click the button to change sites.

  I spoke too soon. I am so sorry. After clicking the submit button I got this error message, “The product transfer could not be completed because a subscription or transaction record could not be found. Please contact support and quote this message to resolve the issue.”

  No worries, I added the domain mapping for prayerfulresponse.com to rrtacoma.wordpress.com.

  Right now, only Happiness Engineers (Staff) can move upgrades between blogs, while we plan to automate it in the future. (Users already can transfer upgrades to one another if they are administrators on the same blog.)
