How do I rectify this mistake? (WP.com)

  I originally purchased a domain name through GoDaddy, which I then pointed to my WordPress.com blog to take over as the primary URL. Now I’m finding out that I should have gone with WordPress.org for my site and self-hosted. Is there a way for me to save my domain name (the paid for one) and make the move to .org? I didn’t see this listed anywhere in the Guided Transfer help. I haven’t even officially launched yet, but I appreciate any help possible.
