How do I redirect a static page that was linked to the wrong page?
-
Hi. I recently made a few changes to my static pages and, somehow, I made an error I can’t seem to fix. To start with I am using Vista as an operating system and Mozilla Firefox as my browser. I have over 30 pages of information on my “Gus & Luz Isaac’s Blog” site and at the bottom of each page, it gives a link to the previous page as well as the next page. For some reason I have a couple of pages that are linking to other pages instead. I was doing a post per day idea and putting day 1 to day 30 consecutively with the exception of a couple of extras thrown in. On one of these extras, situated between days 26 and 27, I put in a post called “A Christmas Special!” but the “next page” link did not go to day 27 but went to the first page named “Our Story”, which does not have a day number assigned to it. This page goes to the next one in order but then that one returns the “next page” link to day 27. I hope you can help me solve this problem, Thanks.

I’m sorry, I got busy with something and can’t remember if the submit button actually worked so I will try it again, forgive me if I duplicated, I’m not trying to rush you.

Let’s take this from the top. The way you have organized your site is the least search-engine-friendly, most labour-intensive way it could possibly be done. But it is the way you have chosen, so let’s try to make it work.
Be specific about which page you need to be where. What is the actual problem, and on what page does the problem occur? I’m not able to parse your first post to find out what the issue is with that post link.
Except possibly this: unlike all your other writing, that link is a POST, not a PAGE. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ In order to get it to work like all your other writing, you may have to copy the contents into a PAGE and delete the post.

I understand what you are saying and the problem is that I haven’t quite learned enough about this to do it any other way yet. Just to clarify a point, I have duplicated each page in both PAGES and POSTS so that they would not appear in reverse order but in chronological order. Having said that, I’m not sure why or how that link became a POST rather than a PAGE. If you think it will work without causing me any other problems, I am prepared to delete all posts.

If it helps, I have the url below for the index page which will show you the order in which the pages should appear.

I would suggest, rather, that you delete all pages. Duplicating them is basically guaranteeing your blog will be ignored by search engines and almost impossible for readers to navigate.
But you may wish to stick with Pages if you prefer. This document may help: http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/
