How do I redirect to a folder on another domain?
-
Hi, I would like to redirect a WordPress.com blog to a folder on another domain, such as mydomain.com/blog/. Can this be done?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You would need to purchase the Site Redirect upgrade to point traffic going to a WordPress.com site URL to a different site:

staff-ozmodiar, thanks for taking the time to reply. I understand that. My question is about the folder part. Is there anyway to redirect it to a specific folder such as mydomain.com/blog/ and how would you go about doing it?

Yes.
From the page I linked to:
However, if you have added your blog to a subdirectory like /blog, be sure to specify the full blog url (mysite.com/blog).

Hi rootjosh,
I’m trying to set this up for a client, and their host says they can’t put it in a folder but can put it on a subdomain. Does the host have control over that? I just want to be sure what I’m getting into before I start the process. I don’t want to sign her up for it, get charged and try mydomain.com/blog/ only to find out that I need it to be on blog.mydomain.com/. If I sign up and try the former, can I switch it to the latter if mydomain.com/blog/ doesn’t work? Or will she get charged again for that? Thanks for any insights you can offer.

Yep, you can redirect to blog.mydomain.com instead of mydomain.com/blog. Just update the URL in the settings here:
You can change it as often as you like.
