How do I reduce HTTP requests for a better load speeds?
-
I really would like to optimise my wordpress hosted website, http://www.dessertified.com, to make it a flawless user experience or at least provide users with a faster experience. I do understand that I need to optimise my images, however my results from Pingdom and Google PageSpeeds Insights indicate there are too many HTTP requests and ‘render-blocking JavaScript and CSS’.
Multiple websites point to the direction of using W3 Total Cache to optimise the back-end, so I can then go and also fix the images. However, I am unable to find out how to install this plugin.
I have absolutely no coding or developer experience, so all of this is well over my head. Can you please provide a solution that will properly fix the speeds of my website?
Thank you.

Hi there,
The Javascript and CSS that loads on your page are there to make sure visitors see your website correctly — rather than seeing your website pop up as just text, without any of the correct style or functionality that the Javascript and CSS provides. It isn’t possible to change this or install plugins (like the W3 Total Cache plugin) on sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
However, our developers are aware of the things identified by Google PageSpeed and are continuing to look for ways we can improve the experience across WordPress.com. :)
If you have any other questions about that, please let me know.
