how do I reduce the amount of white space on the sides of my posts?

    I have a lot of “dead space” on the sides just doing nothing. Any ideas? gavinortlund.com

    The white space you see on your site only appears on wide/high resolution screens with maximized browers. Since visitors might use screens with different resolutions (including mobile users), this white space might not be an issue for them.

    Nevertheless if you absolutely want to remove the white space on high res screens, with custom CSS you can add this:

    #page {
    max-width: 100%;
}

    Doing this makes the layout fill the entire screen. It can create additional layout imbalances, though, since the design was not made with full-width layout in mind.
