How do I register my new domain name for multiple years?

I would like to keep my domain name for 5 years and pay all at once, possibly getting a discount. How do I register for multiple years?

Upgrades on WordPress.com, including custom domains (excluding premium themes), are only for one year at a time and renewed annually. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/all-about-domains/
If you want to buy a domain for a longer period you’ll have to search for a registrar which does it that way, but be warned many of them end up scamming you (See item 3 in this article: https://web.easydns.com/10_things_to_know_before_you_register.php). And then you’ll still need to pay for a domain mapping upgrade on WP.com which will have to be renewed annually.
