How do I relocate a blog if it has been disconnected from my account?
-
Hi –
I was connected with the domain name miriamfinkelman.com through wordpress. I set up a website (which is still up and running) under this name in Fall 2011, and have not changed it very much since. I logged into my wordpress account today (August 17, 2012) to find that the only site connected to my login was miriamfinkelman.wordpress.com. This is not my website. It has none of my content and none of my formatting. I would very much like to know how to 1) relocate and 2) reconnect my existing website back to my wordpress account.
Thank you,
Miriam

Hey there,
Your blog located at miriamfinkelman.com is a self-hosted WordPress.org installation. You can login to it’s dashboard here. You can also read more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
If you’d like, you can migrate your WordPress.org blog to WordPress.com and map your domain to WordPress.com; this will transfer your old blog and set it up so it’s powered by WordPress.com.
Please let me know if I can be of any further help.
Best,
P.
