How do I remove a domain from my plan?

I incorrectly added our domain to our WordPress hosting plan this morning. I need to remove the domain. My understanding is that only WordPress staff can do this. Am I correct? If not, can someone please let me know how to remove it myself?
If I am correct that only WordPress staff can do this, does anyone know how to contact them? I logged a ticket hours ago, but I got a message that WordPress is having holidays this week, and that live chat is not available. Does anyone know if they’re still answering support emails?
My problem is quite urgent, eg some other functions that are linked to the domain have broken since I added the domain to WordPress.

I, incorrectly, added our domain, thrivetech.com.au, to our plan this morning, but I shouldn’t have. Can you please just remove it? The only domain that should be on our plan is thrivetest657217645.wpcomstaging.com.
Our hosting provider handles our domain, I should have left it that way, and that’s what I need to get back to.

Are you referring to an answer in early August where I made the same mistake of adding our domain? If so, yes that was answered, but I just did it again this morning. Yes, I know. I’m sorry.
If you’re referring to Ashik’s response on a related ticket right now, Ashik has answered part of my question, but hasn’t removed the domain, which is the important part.

Ah okay. I have removed mapping again for you. I can see the domain currently just redirects. Is that what you want it to do?
Mapping on this end won’t change much if the domain is still controlled by another set of name servers.

That’s solved my immediate problem.
I’m still a little lost on how to get our website working again, but I’m going to give it overnight to propagate the changes and try again tomorrow.
