How do I remove a page from menu items in the top nav bar?
-
I inadvertently created a top navigation menu item I want to remove. As I update my ‘blog’ (I’ve been away for over one year) I am creating new pages, not posts. Old blog posts are listed under categories in the footnote area. I have switched my theme from Piano Black to Nishita.
What I did was: 1) I first created a static page naming it ‘Welcome’. 2) I created another new page. For sake of this question let’s call it, “A”. That new page is to be linked to from an image I intend to upload next on the Welcome page. (Note: At present there is a new gallery on the welcome page. The location of the image to be uploaded will be directly under the gallery. A series of images will be uploaded in the same location to simulate a thumbnail gallery. I cannot simply create a thumbnail gallery because images in a gallery cannot be made to link to another page (or blog), as I understand it. Each corresponding page with the image on the Welcome page will have a gallery for viewing the rest of the photographs in that particular series.)
Problem: Right now Page “A” appears on the top navigation bar and I want to get it off a there. How?
(I want to do that before placing it below the gallery, far below as a widget footnote; for instance where I have my categories currently listed.)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you created a custom menu go to > Dashboard > Appearance > Menus and locate the Page and click to open it. When it opens click “remove”.
If you did not create a custom menu go here > Dashboard > Pages > All Pages and hover over the page title and click “Trash” if you will not be using it ever. If you may want to use it later then click “edit” and change it from Public to “Private” in the Publication module.
