How do I remove a pre-made theme and create my own?

  I selected a pre-made theme when I first made my site. When making a second, seperate blog, I noticed the option of uploading a image to cover the entire length of the page (banner). How do I remove the old theme and upload my own picture?

  To clarify, I don’t want my picture on the pre-made theme, I want it to be the theme.

  I’m not sure I understand. Do you just want a custom header?

  You cannot upload external themes to wordpress.com.
