How do I remove a wordpress.com/author/ page?

  Before I really knew what I was doing on WordPress, I created a blog under my real name. Shortly after I did so, I changed it to a pen name so there was no conflict with my real life. Apparently, Google is indexing the site as: http://saltformysoul.wordpress.com/author/<my real name>/.

  The problem here is that if you google my real name, you are led to that page. When you click on it, it says that there are no articles on there by that person(the real me). That’s all well and good but anyone who does know the real me would probably be able to easily confirm that the pen name I used is the real me….and that could lead to some conflicts in my professional world.

  I already submitted a request to Google to uncache this page, but I’m hoping there’s a WordPress way to also do this. Basically, my thought is that if that page just disappeared, then Google couldn’t index it. Any help?

  You can’t delete the author page of a WP.com author but you can delete the blog.
