How do I remove all web traces of a Post?
-
I posted about a friend and he had issues with my post. I permanently deleted the post but if you Goggle my name and his the begining of the post is the first link! When you click on it there is an error message saying the content is gone but STILL the reference is there in Google. My friend is quite upset and wants it gone but I’ve done everything I think I can do…ANy help on removing the post completely from the web?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please don’t post the same question more than once.
You will have to contact EVERY search engine and ask that the post be deleted. Not just Google, for instance, but Google China, Google UK, Google Canada, etc. Yahoo, AOL, Bing, etc, etc.

anyone have any idea how long it takes for a post to disappear from Google after using the tool? A blogger friend used it about 4 or 5 hours ago and wrote me- It’s sitting in the queue, pending removal.
@timethief, I sent him the link to your post, which I remembered reading. thanks!

Sometimes they dont’ do it at all. It’s all up to Google. Surely, though, it’ll take longer this week because of the holidays.

Google is not going to clear their cache instantaneous. It will be batched and done when they get to it. That will not be in hours of days. It’s more likely to be in weeks. Without making the request by using the url removal tool it can take 3 – 6 months and sometimes longer.

I apologize for the typos above. There is no lettering on these keyboard keys and I’m visually challenged. Sorry :(
