How do I remove an image from the slideshow

  • Unknown's avatar

On my last post dec 19 I added a group of images to my blog. One of those images (a map on a sign) went into the slideshow. I removed the image from the gallery and deleted it from media but it is still in the slideshow. How can I remove it?

When you go to solair.wordpress.com the slideshow begins – it is the first image I want to remove from the slideshow. (the one and the only one that has a map – I no longer no the file name since I deleted it but it is a map of Tuolumne Meadows hike area Glen Aulin)

The slideshow feature is part of the template I am using for my blog and I wish to keep the slideshow feature.

    Thanks! Kathryn

Perhaps you mean you deleted the image from the post. That doesn’t change the slideshow, because the ML slideshow takes the first image you upload from your computer via the Add Media tool of the post editor (no matter if you insert it in the post or not).
You need to go to Media > Library, hover over the image and click Delete Permanently.

In case the silence means you don’t believe my reply, here’s the URL of the image you don’t want:
    http://solairt.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/2012_sept1_aulin_glen_trail_yosemite_wilderness1_map.jpg
If you had deleted that image from your media library, the URL wouldn’t fetch the image, it would return a “Not Found” response.

    Hi justpi,
Sorry for the delay in reply. Thank you! I went there, did it, and it worked prefectly. Truly Appreciate, Kathryn
