How do I remove an old image from showing up when sharing a page?
-
We recently updated some images for our site, new book cover images. On one of our pages, we have replaced the old image with the new image. The old image is nowhere to be found on the page. However, when the page is shared (for example on Facebook), the old image is still the first default image that shows up. ??? How can we get rid of this so that the new image is what shows up? The page is http://travelforfreebook.wordpress.com/buy/.
Thank you,

Hello ,
I’m sorry but we cannot help with this. We have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include. Thanks so much for your response. So you’re saying it’s not anything that I can do in order to remove that image, it’s all about Facebook caching? And just have to kind of wait for it to be flushed out? Thank you.
