HOW DO I REMOVE AND ADD SITES TO MY 'MY SITES' LIST
-
Seriously, this is really driving me nuts. I keep posting about this issue and nobody every responds or fixes it. I only saw one other post for this and you referred the user to a page/set of options that don’t exist. When I go to look up my stats for articles I write on different sites, I can’t. That’s because there are a bunch of sites on the list I can’t remove even though they’re dead or I no longer work for them/no longer have the logins. And I can’t add the sites I DO write for. Seriously. This is ridiculous. It makes my WordPress app completely useless. Please help me update the MY SITES list. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If the sites you refer to are WordPressdotcom sites, you can show, hide or remove them in your main site’s WP Admin Dashboard under “My Blogs”. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/
However, the site you’ve linked to isn’t hosted here and you mention the WP app. Are you using the Jetpack Manage module on those sites?
https://jetpack.com/support/site-management/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/If none of those Support docs helps you, please return here and add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar to receive Staff assistance.

Thank you. Alas, the information from those links are not helpful. When I click on each site from the MY SITES list, I do NOT get any options for disconnecting myself from these danged sites. Except for the one site I do not want to disconnect from, which is my own (ElisabethParker.Com). I suspect the reason I can’t disconnect from these sites is because I no longer have access to them. Can you please remove these sites from my list so I can see stats from the ones I actually still work for? Thank you.

If none of those Support docs helps you, please return here and add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar to receive Staff assistance.
I’ve gone ahead and tagged this for you for Staff assistance, but they will need to know what sites should be removed and what sites should be added to your MY SITES.

Hi there,
You should be able to disconnect any Jetpack sites in your account from My Sites ->Settings.
I can also do it for you, but I’ll need to know the URLs of the sites you want disconnected, please.

-
Thank you, Kokkieh and JustJennifer.
Alas, there is no SETTINGS option for any of the sites I want to disconnect from. I wish these forums let us upload screen shots so I could show you. I greatly appreciate your offer to disconnect the sites for me, Kokkieh.
Here are the URLs:
IfYouOnlyNews.Com
ReverbPress.Com
ReverbPress.com/BipartisanReport
AtlasLeft.Org
Share-O-Tonin.OrgCan you also please connect me to the following sites so I can view my stats, since WordPress won’t let me do so?
Samuel-Warde.Com
FreakoutNation.Com
AmericanNewsX.ComAnd please leave me connected to my own site/domain, of course.
Also, you might want to know that I was unable to find my original post through the search feature on the WordPress support site, even though I entered every possible keyword. I had to actually go through the lists of all unresolved forum posts manually.
Thanks again.

@iamelisabethparker – thank you for listing the sites. I’ve readded the modlook tag for you.
If you want to see a list of your forum posts, you can click on your username at the top right of any forum page where it says “Welcome, YOURUSERNAME”. That will take you to your forum profile where all the forum threads you’ve participated in are listed.

Hi @iamelisabethparker, I started to work on IfYouOnlyNews.Com but as far as I can tell, you are still a user on that site. If the same person owns all of these, can you have them remove you, then reconnect their Jetpack? Otherwise, if you are still listed as a site user on their end, it’ll just reconnect your account later on.
-
Supernovia, thank you, but I am no longer working for IFYOUONLYNEWS and I am NOT a user on their site. Nor do I wish to contact them and ask to be removed. PLEASE just remove me from the sites I’ve requested or make it possible for me to do it. Really, my WordPress account is none of their danged business, and I resent the fact that you allow former employers to control what I see on my WordPress stats. In fact, since this is MY WordPress account, not theirs, I SHOULD be able to ADD and REMOVE WordPress sites as I choose. If, instead, WordPress has decided that we writers should be frozen in time and associated with the same sites forever, then you should at LEAST display ALL the sites we write for instead of just arbitrarily cutting off at the first six. The fact is, a lot of us who use the WordPress platform on a regular basis will be working for a LOT of WordPress sites over the course of our writing careers. If you’re not willing to fix this issue, then you need to get rid of that message that always appears while viewing WP stats with JetPack that invites users to view “enhanced stats” by clicking on that button. Because the fact is, those of us who have our WPSite list clogged up with old, defunct, and/or former sites will NOT be able to view the “enhanced stats.” We just get taken to an annoying page that has a list of sites we no longer give two flying figs about. Thank you for all your help, but I’m finding it really frustrating that you DON’T seem able to understand this and DON’T seem able to actually FIX this.
-
PS, you recommended that I click on my username to view my tech support requests…My username is NOT clickable on any of the places where I see it on this site. I’ve tried everything on Chrome, Firefox and MS Edge/Explorer.
-
@iamelisabethparker our system detected your account on their site. If we disconnect on this end without you being removed on that end, it will simply redetect again later.
You need to be removed from their sites, on their end, before this will work properly. Otherwise the best I can do is help you “hide” the sites.
-
Can you please at least make the sites I actually work for accessible so I can see my stats? I want to add FreakOutNation.Com, AmericanNewsX.com and LiberalsUnite.Com
Also, AtlasLeft.com and Share-O-Tonin don’t even exist anymore. The domains weren’t renewed and the sites are gone. So how on earth can I still be connected to those sites. So can you please at least remove me from those?
-
Really, I just want to see my stats for the sites I currently work on and I have no way to add them.
-
And then when I click ADD NEW WORDPRESS it tries to make me create a new site. But it won’t let me add an existing site.

Sure, if they won’t be reconnecting, disconnecting from this end is no problem. I’ve done that.
FreakOutNation.Com, AmericanNewsX.com and LiberalsUnite.Com
Is your account on these sites under a different email address than the one listed here?

Thank you so much for all your help. Also, I’m connected to all these sites through Gravatar/WP with my (email visible only to moderators and staff) address.
-
@iamelisabethparker thanks. We’ll need to work on these one at a time since they seem to have different issues. Can you log into LiberalsUnite.com, navigate to Jetpack, and connect it to WordPress.com ? On our side it does not seem to be connected. Or, if it is connected but under some other name, let us know what that is before continuing. Thanks!
