How do I remove 'Archive' widget?
-
Hi. My main blog is orchestrasounds.com. On that site I have a link called ‘Archive’ to another site called orchestrasoundsarchive. Because that is a static page and simply a table of contents to the main blog’s older posts, I want to remove the ‘Archive’ widget.
However, when I do what your help facility tells me to do, I can’t seem to delete the widget. I have tried adding the widget and setting it to show 0, but that doesn’t work. Can you please tell me why or what I’m doing wrong. Having that Archive area makes no sense.
Thank you.

Hi!
You’re referring to this reference to Archive:
Is that correct? If so, you can remove that here:
https://orchestrasounds.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php
Click on the small arrow to expand the Archive tile and use the delete link shown here:
Then, click “Save Menu.” Can you give that a try?

Thank you for the reply, but I can’t figure out how that will remove the Archive area. I may not have expressed myself clearly. Here is a jpeg with the area I’d like to remove circled.

Ah! Sorry – I did misunderstand here. To remove that widget, you’ll need to delete it from the widget area here:
https://orchestrasoundsarchive.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
Can you give that a try? You can use the delete link shown here:
