How do I remove http://theplaystationuk1s.wordpress.com from Google Search?
-
Recently I asked for my blog site to be removed but I find it can still be found on Google Search. I want to remove it permanently using the instructions found at: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1663427 but as the site no longer exists, I am unable to verify it is mine and I can’t go on to remove it from the Google directory.
I need to remove it (and my old site at Yola) as I have finally found a web host that meets my needs and I don’t want to confuse people with sites that no longer exist.
Please can you help me?
Yours desperately,

At this stage it comes down to waiting. In hindsight the best option would have been to remove it when you could still verify with webmaster rools or to have bought sight redirect to send people who go to your old site to your new one.

I agree, if I had considered Google Search before I asked WordPress to delete my blog site then I would have verified with Webmaster Tools first.
Even though I have designed websites for a while, things like this is still relatively new to me and I am learning as I go along.
It may be naïve but I wish when you remove your old website that it’s mention on Google deleted at the same time. It would make things a lot easier for novice and intermediate site owners like myself.
I have posted a hyperlink on the Yola site linking to the new one but as I have already said, I have no access to the WordPress site to be able to do the same or remove it entirely from the Google directory.
Thanks for replying,

I wish I could be having this discussion with a member of WordPress Support but trying to find their contact details is like trying to find a winning lottery ticket without buying one – impossible.

The staff would tell you the same as @tandava108 did above – once a site is deleted your options to do much go away –
For others that stumble across this thread – if a site is set to Private @raincoaster has noted that the search engines seem to clear a site a bit quicker, or you can delete the content (or set the content to Private or Draft if you want to keep a copy that only you can see) and leave a note that you have moved with a link to the new site or buy the site redirect upgrade that automatically sends visitors to your new site and also tells search engines that you have moved
