How do I remove my posts from coming up displayed in my side bar?

  How do I stop my posts from coming up in the sidebar?
  My older posts are appearing in my sidebar where my widgets should be showing up. Now my widgets are showing up way below all of my posts! I had not changed any settings when this happened. Please help if you can! Thank you so much!
