How do I remove my sidebar?
-
I can do this on specific pages but not on the blog itself.
I have tried removing all the widgets but it replaces them with an archive list.
I’m sure there used to be a button for this but I can’t find it anymore.
Is there something I am missing?
I am using non-premium Twenty-Twelve as a theme.
Many thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Themes often have some default widgets they put in place when you have no widgets selected. You can have none displayed by adding a Text Widget only and entering a space into the text box.

Great, thanks.
I have done this, and it does remove the sidebar but the text block doesn’t centre as it does on the pages.
What can I do to make it centre the block?

Correct. The area where the sidebar ‘lives’ is still there, it’s controlled by the theme’s CSS.
With our Custom Design upgrade, part of the Premium plan, we could edit this around with CSS. But without that custom CSS, there’s not a way to center up the blog archive pages in Twenty Ten. You may want to look at themes with a single-column layout, like Twenty Thirteen:
