How do I remove my site from someone else's WP account?
-
When a fellow blogger logs into her wp.com account, my site shows up on her “my sites” list. I have deactivated Jetpack on my site, for now. *She has never been an ADMIN on my site, and should not have access to this information.
I don’t feel comfortable with her having access to my site (www.thefrugalmom.net).
Can you tell me how to resolve this ASAP?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi thefrugalmomsblog,
She can transfer the blog to you by following these steps.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account -
You have a WordPress.ORG install with a jetPack problem to a blog here – so the transfer instructions above I don’t think apply
I have flagged this for staff attention –
look on the users for thefrugalmom.net – and see if you have extra users

Hi there!
I’ve gone ahead and set you as the blog’s owner. Can you please check with your friend if your blog still shows up in her list of sites?
Additionally, can you kindly check if it’s now showing up under your account?
Let me know!

Thank you. My site now shows up on my end, but the other blogger is not home to check the sites listed under her login. Her site is http://www.7onashoestring.com – is there any way for you to check and insure me that my site is no longer listed for her?
(I am not comfortable with her having permissions to my site, unauthorized.)
*I do have a screen shot from yesterday (sent by the other blogger) that shows my site listed for her before this communication. Thanks again!
-
I can confirm that the site no longer shows up in your friend’s account. However, it would be best to confirm this with her personally. Let me know what she says. Thanks!
-
Thank you. I am waiting on a screen shot from her, to confirm.
In the meantime, can you tell me how this even happened in the first place? Why would MY site show up on someone else’s login?

I am having the same issue as Thefrugalmomsblog. Someone has access to my site and. Have not given permissions to anyone. I do not have jet pack installed on my WP account. Can you please look into this matter?

@thefrugalmomsblog: Did you at some point in time share the same computer as “7onashoestring” or have her as a member of your blog? Some glitch may have occured and things like these do happen, albeit very rarely. I apologize for the trouble this may have caused you initially!
@coupongreene: Can you tell me which site you were having issues with and which user has unauthorized access to it?
Thanks!

My site is http://pounds4pennies.com and it is the same user as thefrugalmomsblog. “7onashoestring” I am not sure who else has this access to make changes to my domain.
No I have never logged in on 7onashoestrings computer or home. I have never given her access to my domain.
-
I have never logged into 7onashoestring’s computer either, nor has she ever had permitted access to my domain or been listed as a member.
My site: http://www.thefrugalmom.net no longer shows up on my wp.com “my sites” list. Can you check that for me? And, can you confirm again that my site is not listed on 7onashoestring.com’s list? This blog owner will not send me an updated screen shot to confirm.
Thanks for all your help.

@coupongreene: I’ve set you as the owner of “pounds4pennies.com” and removed “7onashoestrings” as a member of your blog.
@thefrugalmomsblog: That’s odd. I’m still seeing your as the owner of “thefrugalmom.net”. Can you please confirm this by visiting this page?
If it’s still not showing up for you, can you please take a screenshot of that page so I can take a look?
Thanks!
-
@thefrugalmomsblog and @coupongreene: You’re welcome!
*Is there any way to know which logins your site may be listed on?
There isn’t a way to know this but rest assured that no other users are listed as members of your respective sites.
If you had any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Cheers!
