How do I remove or change the footer?

I purchased the custom upgrade, but I don’t see any of my current CSS. I’m using the Twenty Eleven template. How can I remove or change the footer?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade. Please read all of the Custom Design FAQs > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions
This thread will be moved to the CSS Forum for you.

@lynktec is in violation of the Terms of Service as the links by @TT above indicate – – and as such @lynktec’s blog can be suspended without further notice for the TOS violation – so @michaelf21 – remove the footer at your own risk

sorry I don’t want to get anyone in trouble or do anything wrong. I do like WordPress features, but If i’m not happy with the end product, like you said I could go elsewhere. I’ll see how it works and if not happy I’ll move on.
best.

WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/This support doc explains the various ways to transfer your content to another blog or platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
Hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/
Set up a WordPress.org install http://wordpress.org/
If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/#update-nameserversWordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Since I have your ear, how can I modify or delete the gray bar with date and text posted -Uncategorized from my HOME page for each post. I’ve try everything.

You already have Posts that push the footer down – I believe that not many people really pay much attention to the footer anyway – you have nice pictures – I doubt if anyone will not visit your blog a second time based on the name of the theme – content brings visitors –

@timethief thanks for the info, I’ll take it all in consideration on moving forward! I would like my new wordpress to take traffic over from my existing website.

@michaelf21
You’re welcome. Note that Staff can transfer subscribers from a WordPress.com blog to a WordPress.org install, provided you supply both URLs and install and activate the JetPack plugin on the WordPress.org install first. -
To remove that grey bar, you add this in the CSS editor:
.indexed.format-video footer.entry-meta { display: none; }Or you can switch to a different theme: most themes don’t have such a thing, and on many themes the footer credits are more discreet.

@justpi WOW! like magic love it! much thanks, as I said before I’m not that web technical, creative in other ways. But thanks again. I really like the simplicity of this theme so I guess I can live with the cheesy footer at least for now. One additional question can the white background I use be altered (opacity %) to show background image?
best,
-
You’re welcome.
To make the bg semi-transparent, add this:
#page { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.69); }Change the fourth number to adjust the opacity, change the other three to make it colored. (For example, turning the first number to 220 will give the bg a blue-green hue. Are you familiar with RGB color numbers?)
Note: this won’t work in IE8 or earlier.
