How do I remove posts from the blog while still keeping them on the website?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey @synanonstories, if you remove the posts they won’t appear on the site anymore.

Can you share more context about what you have in mind, or why you want to remove the posts while keeping them on the site? We can likely recommend another option. Thanks in advance!

This Website is meant to be an blog and an archive. It is also being set up for authors to have individual “blogs” where they can post stories, poems and works in progress. I wanted the option for authors to post things that might not necessarily go up onto the main blog. The site was set up for me by “Built by WordPress” and I am slowly learning how to use all the functions, but I’m stuck on this one.

    Hello @synanonstories,

One idea is just for your consideration. 👇

You can customize your main blog loop so that only your chosen posts will be visible there. It might be based on post IDs or using the Category. Here are
some resources to customize the loop 👇

    I hope this will help.

    Hi there! 👋🏼

Although @wpfy8048 shared valid ideas, we’d generally advise not modifying the code as, in most cases, there are built-in options allowing this.

@synanonstories — you could change the Query Loop Filter settings instead to show only specific posts, to which you can add tags to:

    WP
Blocks (The Full List) » Query Loop Block
    9 min read
Use the Query Loop block to display blog posts (or other content types such as pages, testimonials, or projects) anywhere on your site. This block is similar to the Blog Posts block, but with greater flexibility to display your content using many different parameters and visual layouts. This guide will show you how to use it. Add the Query Loop Block The Query Look block may already be add

💡 You will want to check the Filters settings.

Here’s how you can add tags to posts:

    WP
Create a Post » Organize Posts with Tags
    5 min read
Tags provide a useful way to group related posts together, quickly tell readers what a post is about, and help new readers discover your content. This guide will show you how to optimize your blog with tags. About Tags Tagging brings traffic to your blog via the WordPress.com Reader. It connects you to people who are passionate about the same topics as you and might belong to online commun
