How do I remove ‘Ret Hat Enterprise Linux Test Page’?

I have logged onto my website this morning and have been immediately directed through to this ‘Ret Hat Enterprise Linux Test Page’. I understand there is a set or instructions to follow on the page, however I do not understand what they are telling me to do. Please help me get by website back to normal.

A copy of this Linux Test page is below:

‘ You may now add content to the directory /var/www/html/. Note that until you do so, people visiting your website will see this page, and not your content. To prevent this page from ever being used, follow the instructions in the file /etc/httpd/conf.d/welcome.conf. ‘

The only thing I have changed in the last 24hrs is my websites Title. Would this have contributed to the problem?

  • Hi there,

That’s not something on our end. This sounds like the back end of another hosting company. Can you please copy and paste the URL of the page you’re ending up on, so I can take a look?

You are logging in at http://wordpress.com/ , correct?

    Hey,

Thanks for writing back so soon.
Yes, I am logging in at http://wordpress.com/ .
Whenever I click to go to my home page or log in to my home page it redirects me to – http://www.telkom.co.id/?url=http://straightondetour.com

My account on my friends computer is fine though. Is that another clue?

I have never heard of Linux before now.

    Thanks again for helping.

    Prue

  • Hi Prue,

That is bizarre. Is this your ISP? http://www.telkom.co.id/en

If so, this seems to be something your ISP is redirecting you to, for some reason.

If not, can you try clearing your browser cache? Also, can you try to log in from your computer and use Chrome or Firefox to see if the same thing happens there?

I think you are correct, we used a Vodafone dongle for a while and since then have had all of our wi-fi access filtered through that program. It seems that by disabling and trashing this programme we have been able to connect to our website with no filter and no ‘red hat’ divert.

Now however google access seems to have been disabled on my computer.

Really appreciate your help with this matter and leading us to an answer my website concerns.
    Kind Regards,
    Prue

  • Hi Prue,

You’re welcome! I’d also recommend contacting your ISP about these problems. :(
