How do I remove Search box under Home page on my Menu?

  • Unknown's avatar

One of my Menu pages is “Home” and when I click on it there is a “Search box” under it even though there is also a “Search box” on my right sidebar.

My “Dashboard>Pages” shows my About, but doesn’t list my Home which I assume is automatically on my Menu as part of my Header Theme.

    “Dashboard>Appearances>Menus>Pages” shows [ ]Home and [ ]About.

“Dashboard>Appearances>Menus>Menu Structure” shows Home, but when I click on “Custom” on the right side of the “Home box” I don’t see any option to eliminate the “Search Box” from my Home page.

Any ideas to help a computer rookie?

If the Search box is part of the WordPress Theme, you cannot remove it.

If the search box is part of a WordPress Widgetized area, you may change it in Appearance > Widgets. It is not on the places you mentioned because it is a design or widget feature.

    Thanks.
