How do I remove sidebar from my posts page that is not a front page?

    hi
In reading settings, I have changed: Front page displays as static page (front page:”welcome”, posts page:”blog”).
In “blog” (now the posts page) page edits, i have changed the Template into: full width, no sidebar. However, the “blog” page still displays the sidebar.

How do I remove sidebar and all its widgets from my posts page?
Is it possible to assign each page different widgets in sidebar?

    Thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Re Q1: You can’t remove the sidebar from your posts page. Changing the template applies to the static page you have edited. When you set that page as your posts page, you no longer see the original page, you just borrow its title as a top nav link to your dynamic posts page (that is, what your homepage would display if you hadn’t set a static front).

The only way to achieve something close to what you want is to switch to one of the very few themes that have a global no-sidebar option (Fusion, iNove, P2, Elegant Grunge, Modularity Lite, Pilcrow) and transfer the contents of your current sidebar to the static page you’ve set as your front.

Re Q2: No. The sidebar is common to all dynamic and static pages of the blog.
