Hi there,
All blog posts have an author, but how that author appears on your blog depends on the theme you’re using. Each theme sets how the author appears, and in most cases that can only be changed by customizing your site with the Custom Design included in the WordPress.com Premium upgrade.
Can you give me a link to a blog post where you’d like to remove the author so I can take a closer look for you?

You will see on the home page a post called Must-See Art Exhibition.
Underneath the title says …by markhardaker in Art.
How do I remove…by markhardaker in Art?

Hi there,
Thanks, now I see what you mean there. The “In the Spotlight” section on that page is controlled by the MH Magazine Spotlight Widget. You can manage the settings for that widget by opening your site’s customizer and heading to the Widgets section.
In the Widgets section, head to “Home 2” and click to open the settings for the Spotlight Widget. You can check the box next to “Disable Post Meta” to remove the author from that widget.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that! You can also get help directly from the MH Magazine theme author in the MH Magazine support forum, if you prefer.
