How do I remove the footer text from my blog?
-
I’d like to remove the text “Blog at WordPress.com. Customized Ever After Theme.” from my footer, as well as the smiley face. I figured they’d go away when I upgraded to the $99/year plan. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Sachin – Those footer credits are required to be displayed according to our terms of service:
http://en.wordpress.com/tos/Note that even sites hosted through our VIP program, such as the TED blog, display a credit to WordPress.com in the footer.
(See the bottom of http://blog.ted.com/ for an example)The smiley face is our stats smiley, so you’ll want that to stay to collect your stats:

OK, fair enough. Is there a way to move the footer to below the main content area so that it’s on the black background, where the smiley is? I’m totally fine with it being there, but it’s just too prominent for me. Thanks!

Hi Sachin – Yep, you should be able to do that using CSS. You can ask for advice on exactly what code to use in the CSS forum here:
