How do I remove the home tab on my site?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have created all the tabs and pages on my solutionfocusedpeople.com site except the home page/tab.

Yet I seem to have no control over the appearance of the home page. At the moment it looks ugly, not as i want it and with comments boxes etc all over it.

I actually dont see any purpose for it and I’d like it to be removed, as I want to have the first tab as ‘Welcome’

    Howdy!

It sounds like you want to set a static front page instead of using the blog as your home page. You can set the “Welcome” page as the home page using the instructions here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

You can also remove the Home link from the menu by creating and setting a Custom Menu. Read more about how to do this here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

I do see what you mean about the current home page’s appearance. Your theme, Forefront, uses a few custom page templates that require a bit of configuration to display nicely. You can read more about these on the Theme Showcase page for Forefront:
    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forefront/

Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have further questions!

    Cheers,
    Caroline
