How do I remove the hyperlink of a title?
-
After I inserted hyperlinks in my text, when I publish the article and then click on the title of my article, it will take me to the first link that I inserted inside of the text. But I never hyperlinked the title of the article. I just can’t get rid of that and it is so frustrating!

Hi there,
Post titles on homepage (and other archive, category, and tag pages) are usually automatically linked to the single post page. This is what blogs do, each post on an archive page links to its own page (where visitors can then add comments, read the entirety of the post).
There’s nothing we can do to get rid of this behavior, unfortunately, that’s just how the theme is coded and we can’t modify theme’s code here.

Thank you for your comment! I guess there is really nothing we can do. In order to avoid the hyperlink on the title taking audience to an irrelevant page, I have to purposely add an extra first hyperlink in my text as something that links back to the article….I don’t know if I am making any sense but in that way at least people won’t be taken to, for example, Facebook.com when they click the title, just because I hyperlinked Facebook.com in my text somewhere.

The title will always link to the single post page, in case you’re worried about that linking somewhere else.
