How do I remove the information box in the sidebar of the Suburbia theme?
-
I’m trying to remove the box called “information” in the sidebar of the Suburbia theme. I really don’t want it flashing my identity every time I post something. There seems to be no way to do it. I’ve searched the forums and I can’t find any answers!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry – the wrong blog is listed above. It’s actually this one http://howsexististhisshow.wordpress.com/
and the problem is on the Posts. http://howsexististhisshow.wordpress.com/2013/06/08/krispy-kritters-in-the-scarlett-night/ -
No changes you try out aside from those such as Custom Background, Custom Header and Theme Options which are stated on the theme description pages for each theme will be visible to visitors unless you purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/Important note: CSS editing is theme dependent. In some themes, elements such as author, date, categories and/or tags cannot be hidden independently, as they are in the same selector as the other meta data elements perhaps even the “leave a comment” link, which means if you hide one, then you hide them all.

So basically, I can’t change it unless I buy the upgrade, is that correct?
And on the Change Display Name – is there a way to do that so it doesn’t cross blogs? Basically, in this case, I don’t want one blog to lead to the other. It looks like a name display change would go across all of my blogs.

That’s correct. However, in terms of search engine discover ability and a page rank removing all metadata may be akin to biting your nose off to spite your face.
There is only one username (or display name) and gravatar for each username account. If you change the display name it applies to all blogs registered under the same username account. To disassociate two blog register another username account while logged out of WordPress.com and then transfer the blog to it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Most amusing.
Search engines read the sourcecode of your page. When you remove an element via CSS editing, you simply hide it from view: visitors won’t see it, but the element is still there in the sourcecode. Display or no display makes no difference to search engines. -
