How do I remove the italics from my blogposts?
-
In a visual block editor, my posts are in normal text – unitalicized – but when I publish them, they are in italics. I haven’t italicized them in the editor and I can’t find any way to remove it.
I have searched for some tips but they don’t work. Also, I don’t use the code block editor or the classic editor, for I have no idea how to use them. I am new to WordPress, so I would very much prefer a way to remove the italics in visual editor.

Hi there:
It looks like you’re using the Verse Block, not the Paragraph Block.
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/verse-block/
The theme you’re using – Dara – has styled the Verse Block to be in italics when published.
Since changing the theme defaults would involve custom CSS and would need a Premium plan, your only other option would be to try out different themes to find one that doesn’t italicize the content of the Verse Block when publishing.
You can see what else is included in the Premium plan if you’re interested:

I hope that helps!
