How do I remove the "Leave A Reply" box from my pages
-
So, I’m a newbie to wordpress but am also finding it so frustrating to construct my pages that I hit my frustration limit and then don’t go near it for several months.
How do I remove the Reply bax from a page?
I asked this question 6 mos ago and got a reply that sited a couple of help page documents, but what I saw on the docs as being on said pages didn’t match what I saw. Even so, I tried to find what I was shown and no luck.
If anyone is willing to give me the morons step-by-step directions to this, I would be incredibly thankful.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Post there only please.6 months previous to that you received the same answer here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-remove-the-reply-option-from-a-page?replies=2#post-1965239

I tried to reply to that post last night, but got a message that said it was closed or something. I was unable to reply.
That answer did not help me. As I mentioned, the instructions were not specific enough and the images that it showed were not ones that I was able to find.
I need a literal step by step and where on the page to find what is listed in the documents if they are still current.
I am reasonably computer savvy, but finding this process infuriating.

My response at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/remove-contact-form-1?replies=2#post-2233159 most certainly is as specific as I can make it.
You misunderstand. A contact form and comment boxes found on all posts and pages unless we disable them are not the same thing. You need to disable the display of comment boxes on the pages.
All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. Your visitors click the post tiles or the comment links or comment bubbles on the front page of the blog and they are directed to the full post appearing on it’s own page where the comment boxes appear at the end of the posts.
You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/04/23/comments-off-1/Important Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules
Autofilled information
There will be autofilled information in a contact form or a comment box but your information is visible only to you when you are logged in and have not cleared your browser cache and cookies. No one else can see it.When someone makes a comment on your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each others details.
Also know that there is an Admin link on posts and pages that only you as Admin and any editors you have can see when you are logged in. It’s for your convenience and your visitors cannot see it. You cannot remove it as it’s coded into the theme templates and we cannot edit templates or themes.

Thank you so much for trying to help me.
Here’s what I’m able to make out from what you said above. Unfortunately it still doesn’t seem to be the solution.
WPadmin>Dashboard>under At a Glance select link to 7pages>About>Settings on left side menu>Discussion
This takes me to a page titled Discussion Settings with a large number of subcategories. None of which match up with the ones you have suggested.
I must not be getting to the right place somehow.

Hi there,
If you want to disable comments on all pages, please go to Pages > All pages in your Dashboard. Then select all pages by checking the box left of “Title”. Then, go to the drop down menu labeled “Bulk Actions” and select “Edit”. Click on “Apply”, and you will see another dropdown menu next to “Comments”. Select “Do Not Allow”, and click “Update”.
This should disable Comments on all the pages you checked off.
