how do I remove the "Leave a Reply" comment box from my About page

  As above, I would like to be able to remove the comment box from my About and Home pages. I have looked but cannot find anyway of doing it. Can someone please help me with this?

  This can be done. This page > Settings > Discussion
  Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
  We can also overide the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.

  For any page or post that is already published, you will have to do it manually. Open the page in the editor, go to the top right of that page and click “screen options” and make sure that “discussion” is selected, then scroll down below the text area and click on the right end of the discussion module title bar to open it and then deselect “allow comments” and also “allow trackbacks.” Update the page or post.
