I wish to remove the sidebar from my Forever Theme blog posts

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Cheryl!

Some themes show a few default widgets in the sidebar whenever no widgets are selected. To get rid of these on your blog page, add a Text widget to the sidebar, and just add a space for its title and body. The sidebar space is still allocated on your blog posts page by the theme, but no content will appear in the sidebar.

Thank you for replying to my request for information. What I seem to understand from your response is that I can’t get rid of the space the Sidebar occupies, which is what I wanted. I wanted to be able to use the entire page across for my Blog as I have done with the Pages in the rest of the website by clicking on “Full Page-No Sidebar”, but I couldn’t find that option for the Blog Posts. I suppose I will have to consider a different design to accomplish what I want. In the meantime I will do as you suggest. Thank you again.

    Hi Cheryl,

Yes, it’d take several bits of CSS editing to make that area go away and have the post content fill the full width. The theme was designed with that sidebar in mind.

Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you!

If you’d like to edit the CSS to find a solution, we do have a CSS customization forum here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization

Several staff and volunteers help in that forum and they might find an answer I can’t immediately see. While I know I could hide the content of the sidebar with CSS, I’m not sure how to make that Post area fill the full width afterwards.

    Best,
