How do I remove the site logo?

I would really like to remove the site logo, is there a way for me to do that? I really like this theme and don’t want to change, but I don’t want the site logo.

In WordPress go to your widget area and in widget at the top click on the SITE IDENTITY option, there you would may find change logo option for your site.

Are you sure it’s the logo and not the header?
I’m playing around with WP on a local host and with themes. All themes I tried so far have the possibility to edit/change/delete the header/logo. Based on the themes I tried, there is never a default logo set (it was empty) but there is always a default header set. Which I could change here: WP admin: Dashboard: Display: Customizer: Look for something like header/logo settings.
I’am translating from Dutch so hopefully I use the same term/words as the English WP uses.
If that doesn’t work, when you look at your blog and press F12, there is this arrow sign on top (next to ‘Elements’). When you press that once, you can select a element on the blog to inspect. When I do that with your header, it jumps to the styles that are set with that element. For example, that header has a div id and class “wp-custom-header'”. Maybe you can use that information to edit the style manually (maybe you need to use a child theme for that, not sure about it). F12 gives lots of cool information, you can even change something in the style sheet that F12 is showing, for example a background-color, to see how it looks without it affecting the actual style sheet. It’s something like a sandbox.

vbbg – are you all set? I don’t see a logo on your site at veryvariedveronicablog.wordpress.com running Independent Publisher 2. My guess is that you had your Gravatar email set in the Customizer under Theme Options.

I’m still not able to change the set logo that follows this theme, can anyone help?

fjeldkaasa – there is no logo on your site at fjeldkaasa.wordpress.com, but there is a custom header. To remove it, open the Customizer‘s Header Image panel and click “Hide Image.”
