How do I remove the star ratings feature from my posts?

I have a wordpress.com blog and would like to remove the star ratings from my posts. I have the like buttons and I do not see the point of a star rating. Can this be removed? I cannot install plugins because I have only upgraded to Personal level.

Hi there, ratings are a part of CrowdSignal, but how you remove them might have to do with the age of the site you added them to.
Is this on a site you created a really long time ago? If so, you should be able to navigate to Feedback>Ratings in your site’s dashboard and then click on the Settings button at the top of the page on the right. From there you can uncheck the boxes on Posts and save your settings. Here’s a temporary screenshot.

Hm, this is odd. The link to your site wasn’t visible when I first replied above.
Regardless, I did want to add that star ratings do have some advantages over “Likes”.
Likes are only available to registered and logged-in WordPress.com users. That’s the reason you see a Gravatar profile picture next to Likes. Likes unfortunately can be used by spammers to promote their site (especially noxious if you receive email notifications of new Likes).
Star ratings are available to everyone, logged in or logged out, and don’t have additional “baggage.”
If you think you’d like to turn off “Likes” instead, you can do that from your Tools>Marketing>Sharing dashboard next to “Reblog & Like”.
If you are using the Block Editor, there’s also a new “Applause” block that you can add directly to your posts as well.

OMG how did I miss that? Thanks so much. I didn’t go to the Feedback menu, thinking it was something about sending feedback to WordPress or something lol. Great points about the likes vs the ratings. I’m going to take that into consideration.
