How do I remove type between the masthead and the text/headline area?

I need to know how to remove a paragraph of type that has somehow gotten into the space between the masthead and the headline/text area of my blog. It is right under the “Home–About–Contact” line (Which I DO want) and is in the same typeface. I don’t know how it got there or how to remove it. You can see it if you go to joyofresistance.wordpress.com It’s white on the black background and begins: “Wed., Sept. 16, 9-10 pm, Joy of Resistance presents: The New Delhi rape convictions…..” thanks for any help! • Howdy,

It looks like the Custom Menu you made (at https://joyofresistance.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php ) hasn’t been selected to be used on your site yet. Since there isn’t a menu set, the site is displaying links to all pages—including the title of the page that is appearing unexpectedly.

To fix this, visit your Custom Menu page ( https://joyofresistance.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php ), then click the checkbox near the bottom next to “Primary Menu” ( screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cbDP9BjaltW ).

Then click the blue Save Menu button. The extra link should go away!

If you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Cheers!
