How do I renew my domain name? Do I need to renew?
-
I received an email notice from WordPress saying that ICANN requires that I be notified prior to my domain’s expiration date, which is February 1. I cannot figure out how to renew, even when I follow the email’s direction to go to ‘Purchases.’ (I can find ‘Manage Purchases,’ but that only give me the option of upgrading.) Do I really need to renew my domain name? Is that the same as the website name that I created using WordPress, and that does not contain the name ‘WordPress’? If I do need to renew it, how do I do so?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
There are no domain name purchases on the WordPress.com account you are logged in to. Can you confirm which domain you are referring to?
Once I know more I’ll be happy to take a look for you.

Thanks for your quick reply. My domain name is rabbidavidkuperman.com. This website (which includes a blog but is not a blog itself) was set up for me, using WordPress, by a person I can no longer contact. In addition to not knowing about if or how to renew my domain name, I cannot access the site itself (although I used to be able to do so) to update it. The password was changed so many times that I no longer know what it is, and I’m not even sure of the name or email I need to log in.
Please help, Gemma!

Hi there,
I’ve just sent an email to the email address on your WordPress.com account, so I can follow up with you there.
Please let me know if you don’t receive it. Thanks!
