    It looks like thatfunreadingteacher.com is currently in the redemption period. If you wish to recover that domain, there is an additional charge of $80 imposed by the domain registrar on top of the domain registration, for recovery of the domain. You’ll need to agree to that charge before Staff can start the procedure.

    Hi there!

    After the grace period ends, your domain enters the redemption period, the length of which can vary. This means the domain name can still be renewed, but there is an $80.00 redemption fee required in addition to the normal renewal cost. (This is standard practice for domain registrars.)

    It’s important to note that during the redemption phase, domains can be included in expired-domain auctions, where another party can bid on your domain name. If the domain is claimed by someone else in an auction, you will not be able to renew. If you made a payment in attempt to reclaim the domain out of redemption and were unsuccessful, you will get a refund.

    Hi thatfunreadingteacher,

    thatfunreadingteacher.com expired on 2017-05-01 and is currently in the redemption period:

    Domain Expiration

    We can still try to recover the domain but you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee —
    the plan you purchased will cover the domain renewal costs. If you agree to the fee, I can send a payment request and start the recovery process once it has been paid.

    If you do not want to pay the fee, you can wait until the domain is released but this is the riskier option as there is no guarantee you will be the first to register it.

    Please let me know which option you would prefer.
