how do i replicate an blog under the main account to a new account

    Hi, My primary blog here on word press is XYZ but I created a blog under this account as ABC.
    I have currently made XYZ private due to personal reasons and want ABC to be the primary blog. Is this possible?
    or how can I can create a new account for ABC using the same content that is already there and without having to delete the account and start from scratch. Please help me with this. TIA.

    1. set a site as primary site, https://wordpress.com/support/domains/set-a-primary-address/#use-a-free-site-address
    2. first create a new account, next step is moving your site ABC to your new account, https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-a-domain-to-another-wordpress-com-site/

    thank you @startmees. I think I was not clear. I want my primary free ABC site to be independent of the secondary free site XZY account. I want them to be two independent free sites on WordPress for now at least. Please let me know if the above 2 steps you have mentioned still stands. cheers

    Hi there,

    You can have as many sites as you like under a single account. If you want to split them between two accounts, that’s possible too. You only need to create an additional account.

    thank you @fstat : sorry I am not very tech savvy. I created my initial account as dewofmay here over a decade ago. but under that account I recently created another site called Ruellesjourney. but now I want them as 02 individual accounts. meaning – i want them to be independent and be able to comment on other blogs as dewofmay or as Reuellesjourney independently. ex: something like what we have on Instagram where we switch accounts. For this do I have to delete Ruellesjourney on dewofmay account and use another email address and create a brand new account? really appreciate your help on this please. TIA

    There’s no need to delete your current account. Here’s what I recommend doing.

    First, create a new account named reuellesjourney using a different email address. To be able to do that you first need to log out from your current account and use the link below to register a new account.

    https://wordpress.com/start/user

    Once you have that account created log back into your previous account (dewofmayz) and transfer reuellesjourney.wordpress.com to your new account. Detailed instructions on how to do that can be found here:

    In the end, you’ll have two separate accounts. One will have dewofmay.wordpress.com and the other reuellesjourney.wordpress.com.
