How do I reply to Feedbacks?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hey there,

I’ve put up a survey on the blog, and I receive comments under the “feedback” section. I want to reply to these comments! How do I reply to them via email, that gives the recipient a “From address” of “wordpress.com” or “letrezblog.wordpress.com”. Basically, I wanna give my reply a rather “professional” look.

Apart from this, is there anyway I can have an email account setup with the blog? for free? using google apps and a subdomain? Cause i cant seem to find the MX records…whatever that is

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Nope….

Check out the “Cheesecake” post on my blog…in the blog, I’ve used the “form” feature…to act as a survey for people who have tried my cheesecakes!…now when they do hit the submit button aftr filling out the form, I get the results in the “Feedback” section of the wp-admin….however, is there anyway I could “reply” to their comments?…in other words…perhaps…thanking them?

    Ahhh … you mean these > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
I assume one simply emails a thank you to those they received feedbacks from.

Hmm….well, I guess i need tht gruion pplugin thing X_X…

Well a good suggestion to wp.com…would be to,

    1) Add a functionality where we can reply to those feedbacks directly in the “feedback management section”. Plus, these replies should be sent to the user in a very…”customizeable” option for the admin!

    2) There should be a question-answr field in the options for the form

In other words…suppose I ask the question – “What is 2?”

    Answ – 1. 1+1
    2. 4-2
    3. 3+0
    4. 10/5

In this case, there are multiple correct options…we can choose from! Radio button doesn’t help here…netiher the checkboxes…as we cant really “ask” a question when posting it!

    Cheers

    Hello again,
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs like the one linked to your username and we cannot install individual plugins into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
If you want to suggest to Staff that the plugin be installed on the whole platform then you need to contact Staff directly.

    Ayt…hw do i contact them?…send them a mail directly?

  • Unknown's avatar

Yes, you send them an email directly. If you don’t think your own email looks professional, get a professional-looking email, forward their feedback, and then respond to it from your “professional” email, editing out all the “forwarded from FluffythePenguin to SuperSocialMediaGuru.com” stuff.
