How do I request access to this private site?

  In my reader, a post appears which says I can’t read the post because the site on which is was posted has been made private. However, I don’t know how to gain access. The replacement notice says I have to request access, but when I click on the notice, nothing happens. In the list of blogs I follow nothing out of the ordinary is shown in the list of blogs. So my question is: how do I find out which site the notice is refering to, and how do I request access to that site?

  Hi there. If the owner has chosen to set the site to private you’ll no longer be able to read it, even if you were a follower before it went private. If you go to that site’s URL you should see a page saying that the site is private. That page will also have a link you can use to request an invitation to see the site, but it’s up to the site owner whether or not they’ll give it to you.
